My husband and I have been discussing our finances and how to teach our kids to be financially responsible so that they can avoid the pains that we have had in scraping by for years and the stress that comes from not having enough.

We have been Dave Ramsey for YEARS! We have taken Financial Peace University and listen to his radio show almost every day. We agree with what he does and the RESULT that is possible...and then there is putting it into practice! Dave is definitely correct in saying that financial peace is 90% BEHAVIOR and only 10% knowledge.

As our kids continue getting older (how does this happen and can I stop it?) We realize that especially for our older 2 kids (13 and 12 yo) we only have a few more influential years to help shape their lives for the good (and as teenagers hopefully we even have that much time!!!) So without further adieu we are STARTING!

As we start on this journey I felt prompted today to start a blog to help me post how we feel as a family as we implement these ideals with our kids, in our habits, in our HEARTS to follow God's rules for money and WIN with money so that we can be a blessing to those around us.

I promise to be honest with how I feel about the journey and how things are going. I expect this to be difficult, trying and actually fun too! I am excited for being able to go to Nashville and stand at the microphone and do a DEBT FREE SCREAM as a Family!
